Job summary

The Royal Women's Hospital in Parkville, Melbourne invites applications for Consultant Obstetrician roles. These are ongoing and fixed-term leave-cover positions, available as full-time and part-time options.

The role involves delivering high-quality obstetric care, on-call emergency obstetric services, and contributing to training and quality initiatives within a leading tertiary maternity service. Applicants should be eligible for specialist registration and hold FRANZCOG.

Qualifications

• A medical practitioner who is eligible for specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia
• Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists
• Proven clinical skills and experience in tertiary-level antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal obstetric care

Responsibilities

• Providing high quality outpatient and in-patient Obstetric clinical services
• Participation in the provision of emergency on-call obstetric services to the Royal Women's
• Pl aying an active role in training registrars and resident medical officers and participate in the teaching of medical students and other health care trainees attached to the Women's.
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives, including guideline review
• Assisting the heads of Units with some administrative and quality improvement responsibilities
