Job summary

Profectus is seeking multiple experienced Lead Network Security Engineers to support operation, maintenance and uplift of network infrastructure for an Australian Government agency. You will plan, implement and operate network services across hardware and virtual environments.

Candidates should have 5+ years in cyber security, experience with firewalls, routers and network management tools, and hold relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a cyber security role.
• Experience with hardware firewalls, servers and routers.
• Experience in defence in depth and secure architectures.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and operate network services across hardware and virtual environments.
• Test and maintain network infrastructure.
• Configure and manage protection components including firewalls.
• Assess and improve network security architectures.
• Review device configurations for security improvements.
• Apply defence in depth principles in design and config.
• Analyse network traffic with management tools.
• Explain findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
