Job summary

Macquarie University Health is seeking an experienced Lead MRI Radiographer to guide the day-to-day delivery of the MRI service and support the radiographers who provide it. This senior role combines hands-on scanning with leadership of a team across three MRI systems and collaboration with clinicians, researchers and students.

You will oversee staffing, workflow, safety and quality, while enabling research and teaching activity that defines MQ Health.

Qualifications

• Post-graduate qualification (or degree) in Magnetic Resonance Technology.
• Minimum five years FTE experience as an MRI Radiographer.
• Current AHPRA registration.
• Desirable experience leading or supervising a small team of radiographers.
• Proficiency across Siemens and/or GE MRI platforms, and familiarity with MRI research requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality diagnostic MRI imaging services across GE and Siemens MRI platforms.
• Deliver MRI services for outpatient, inpatient and research imaging.
• Oversee daily workflow and operational coordination of the MRI department.
• Lead, supervise and develop a team of 4-5 medical imaging radiographers.
• Organise and participate in the MRI on-call roster as required.
• Maintain MRI safety standards, QA and protocol integrity; contribute to continuous improvement.
