Job summary

Sure People Solutions Pty Ltd is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to lead a Perth-based crew on a factory floor that builds modular homes, timber and light-steel frames, and flooring systems. You’ll execute the daily plan, supervise a diverse team, and drive standard work and quality across shifts.

You will develop frontline leaders, maintain safety and 5S, and contribute to the future facility as the business scales.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years in timber frame, light-steel framing, modular or residential construction, including 2 years as leading hand/supervisor.
• Experience leading a crew of 8+ with responsibility for output, quality and conduct.
• Ability to read architectural and structural drawings and verify floor alignment against plans.
• Track record of upholding standards and stopping work when under schedule pressure.
• Full and unrestricted Australian work rights.

Responsibilities

• Lead bays/lines to meet the daily plan issued by the Group Scheduler.
• Run morning start: briefing, task allocation, materials and drawings ready.
• Raise and resolve issues early to keep workflow on track.
• Own quality by inspecting hold points and correcting defects.
• Maintain 5S and standard work; carry one improvement idea weekly.
• Lead a multicultural team with clear, demonstrable instructions.
• Develop leading hands to run a bay independently.
• Conduct daily pre-starts and toolbox talks; stop unsafe work.
• Issue end-of-shift reports covering output, quality, safety and labour.
