Job summary

Mineral Resources Limited (MinRes) seeks an experienced Team Lead – Mining Operational Applications Support to guide a high-performing team of Application Specialists. You will own stability, performance and continuous improvement of MinRes’ mining application portfolio.

Reporting to the Manager – Application Support, the role blends technical leadership, SME capabilities and stakeholder engagement to ensure reliable applications, governance and data-driven insights across mining operations.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in IT, information systems or equivalent.
• Proven application support experience with leadership/supervisory background.
• Experience with mining industry tech and operational apps is highly regarded.
• Strong knowledge of SCADA and Industry 4.0 concepts; AWS IoT exposure is a plus.
• SQL and Python proficiency with Power BI/Tableau/Grafana for analytics.
• ITIL framework, change and service-management understanding.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop Application Specialists; foster accountability and continuous improvement.
• Manage team workload, rostering and incident escalation to meet service levels.
• Oversee day-to-day support for mining apps, analytics platforms and underlying systems.
• Ensure policy, cybersecurity and regulatory compliance across platforms.
• Transition solutions from project to steady-state support with up-to-date docs.
• Act as SME for the Mining Operational Portfolio and vendor governance.
• Build team capability and strengthen vendor partnerships.
• Oversee vendor performance reviews and contractual obligations.
• Identify process optimization, automation, and efficiency gains.
• Champion data practices and contribute to ITIL-aligned support frameworks.
