Job summary

Fortescue is seeking a proven shutdown professional to lead large-scale, time-critical maintenance campaigns at its fixed plant operations. You will plan, coordinate, and oversee 240-hour and modular 288-hour shutdowns, directing up to 1,200 personnel across multi-discipline scopes to maximise plant availability and asset reliability.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading large-scale shutdowns in complex fixed plant environments.
• Demonstrated capability managing large contractor workforces across multi-discipline scopes.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in high-pressure, time-critical environments.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate shutdowns in line with the 16-week planning process.
• Develop shutdown scopes, resource plans, and manage vendor partnerships.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and contractors.
• Optimise shutdown execution to maximise plant availability and reliability.
• Oversee contractor safety, quality, and delivery against maintenance plans.
• Drive continuous improvement through reporting, lessons learned, and innovative shutdown practices.
