Job summary

Goss Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Fitter with hydraulics expertise to join our team on a full-time basis. The role spans workshop, site, and project work across multiple Hunter Valley sites.

You will install equipment, audit hydraulic systems for performance, identify defects, and lead larger jobs to ensure timely completion. Responsibilities include new equipment builds, pump testing, repairs, and mentoring apprentices.

Qualifications

• Cert III in Engineering, Mechanical Trade is required.
• Solid troubleshooting and defect rectification skills.
• Experience with hydraulics and fluid control is preferred.
• Ability to supervise colleagues on site and communicate with clients.

Responsibilities

• Work is a blend of Workshop/Site and Project work.
• Install equipment and audit systems for performance.
• Identify and rectify defects in systems.
• Act as a Team Leader for larger jobs to drive completion of works.
• New equipment builds within the workshop; pump testing and repairs.
• Train and mentor apprentices and junior staff.
