WSP is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer for its Melbourne water team. You will lead mechanical and hydraulic design across multiple water infrastructure projects, shaping outcomes from concept to completion.

With 15+ years in engineering consultancy or design roles in water, you will mentor engineers, collaborate with national teams, and contribute to proposals while delivering high‑quality documentation. Melbourne-based role with dynamic, client‑focused design delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered status (CPEng) preferred.
• 15+ years in engineering consultancy or design roles in water sector.

Responsibilities

• Drive the technical quality of water and wastewater infrastructure design projects.
• Lead mechanical and hydraulic design across the full project lifecycle.
• Produce and review high-quality technical documentation and contribute to proposals and pursuits.
• Mentor emerging engineers and collaborate across local and national teams.
