Job summary
Brimarco, a Ballarat-based specialist vehicle manufacturer, is seeking a Lead Engineer to own one of our product lines from concept to production. You will balance hands-on design with technical leadership, collaborating with clients in design reviews to shape solutions and build standards, master models and systems that scale our capabilities.
You will mentor engineers, drive modular design and compliance with ADR, and partner with Production, Sales and Procurement to deliver practical,
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) with professional registration preferred.
- Minimum 5 years in heavy trailer/vehicle manufacturing.
- Proven leadership of technical projects from concept to production.
- Strong problem-solving and client-facing design review experience.
Responsibilities
- Own engineering outcomes, quality and ADR compliance for the product line.
- Lead product development from concept through to commercialisation.
- Work with clients through design reviews.
- Drive standardisation, modular design and common components.
- Produce and review manufacturing drawings, BOMs and specs.
- Collaborate with Production, Sales and Procurement for buildable solutions.
- Diagnose and solve engineering issues on drawing board and shop floor.
- Mentor others and shape engineering practices.
