Tyres and More in Goodna, QLD, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager/Head Mechanic to join our brand-new store. This full-time role combines retail management with hands-on automotive servicing.

You will lead the store team, perform servicing and diagnostics on passenger and 4WD vehicles, manage inventory, and help develop in-store promotions while ensuring safety and customer satisfaction. Qualifications

• Certificate III in light vehicle mechanical is required.
• Experience as assistant manager or team leader preferred.
• Strong servicing knowledge: brakes, suspension, steering.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in leading and motivating the team to deliver outstanding service.
• Carry out mechanical servicing, repairs and diagnostics on passenger and 4WD vehicles.
• Perform log book services and general mechanical repairs.
• Diagnose mechanical faults using scan tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Oversee inventory management and stock control.
• Contribute to in-store marketing and promotions.
• Provide guidance to junior team members as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-presented store environment.
