Job summary

Harris Federation seeks an exceptional Lead Mathematics Teacher for Central Quadrant, with deployment across Harris Academy Battersea and Harris Academy Peckham. You will lead improvements in teaching, curriculum and student outcomes, coaching colleagues and modelling best practice across academies.

You will bring QTS, at least three years of teaching, plus leadership experience. The role emphasizes high standards, collaboration, and development of a challenging, inclusive mathematics program.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification with a relevant undergraduate degree.
• Minimum of three years’ teaching experience.
• At least two years in a management role.
• Experience of teaching Mathematics to A‑Level.
• Evidence of raising attainment and standards.
• Experience in curriculum development and pedagogy.
• Experience in observing and providing feedback on teacher performance.
• Experience setting targets and leading improvement across a phase or wider.
• Experience working in a multi-ethnic inner-city school.
• Strong knowledge of national Mathematics curriculum and current developments.

Responsibilities

• Teach key examination groups with substantial teaching commitment.

• Plan and deliver a broad, differentiated Maths curriculum.
