Job summary

Ventia seeks a seasoned Electrical Supervisor to lead ITS delivery across Western Sydney and Regional NSW. You will supervise installation, testing, and operation of ITS assets, ensuring safe, on-time, on-budget performance with strong stakeholder engagement.

This permanent full-time role requires an NSW Electrical Licence, White Card, and experience with traffic signals, ITS, and streetlighting. Travel across Western Sydney and NSW is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of ITS assets across Western Sydney and Regional NSW.
• Ensure works comply with Ventia policies, WHS, SHEQ and TfNSW standards.
• Maintain site records, inspections, testing, and reporting.
• Review subcontractor documentation (ITPs, SWMS, QA/QC).
• Identify defects, non-conformances, and construction constraints.
• Coordinate emergency response and resolve issues.
• Provide technical guidance to contractors and crews.
• Liaise with contractors, clients and stakeholders for delivery.
• Promote Ventia Safe for Life culture.
• Perform other duties as required by ITS Lead and Project Team.

Are you a seasoned Electrical Supervisor? A permanent full-time opportunity on our Sydney Roads and Asset Performance Contract has become available for an ITS (Intelligent Transport System) Supervisor at our Arndell Park site. Bring your expertise and leadership experience to our team!

The Opportunity

You will lead the delivery of capital works projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, profitably, on time, within budget, and to required quality and compliance standards.

The role will provide technical leadership across Traffic Systems (TS), Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), and street lighting, supporting project delivery, team capability, and training. You will foster a collaborative, high-performing culture while effectively managing and supporting team members.

A strong focus will be placed on service delivery, project coordination, compliance, documentation, reporting, and stakeholder engagement, using your technical expertise to deliver successful and profitable outcomes.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supervise the delivery, installation, testing, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of ITS assets across Western Sydney and Regional NSW.
• Ensure all works comply with Ventia policies, WHS, SHEQ requirements, statutory obligations, project systems, and TfNSW standards.
• Maintain accurate site records and oversee inspections, testing, monitoring, and reporting.
• Review subcontractor documentation, including ITPs, SWMS, procedures, and quality, safety, and environmental plans.
• Identify, manage, and elevate defects, non-conformances, construction constraints, and incomplete works.
• Coordinate emergency response activities and support the resolution of operational and construction issues.
• Provide technical guidance and support to contractors, project teams, and maintenance crews.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants, clients, and key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
• Promote Ventia's Safe for Life philosophy and maintain a strong safety, quality, and environmental culture.
• Perform other duties as required by the ITS Lead and Project Team.

Could You Be Our ITS Supervisor?

• NSW Electrical Licence and White Card.
• Solid experience in ITS, asset services, maintenance, or asset management.
• Experience with traffic signals, ITS, and streetlighting systems.
• Understanding of ITS operations and asset management systems.
• Experience providing technical leadership and contractor supervision.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital management systems.
• Current driver's licence and willingness to travel across Western Sydney and Regional NSW.
• Flexible to work nights and provide out-of-hours support when required.
