Job summary

Avanade is seeking a Workplace Software Architect (Records Management) in Melbourne, Australia, to lead the information governance architecture across Microsoft Purview, AvePoint Opus, and related technologies. You will shape the target-state architecture, metadata models, and retention frameworks, partnering with business stakeholders and delivery teams.

Qualifications

• Must be an Australian citizen to apply; security clearance is highly regarded.
• Lead architecture and design of Information Asset Management solutions and governance controls.
• Experience with Microsoft Purview and AvePoint Opus in enterprise settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and design of the Information Asset Management solution.
• Define records management, retention, disposal, and information lifecycle management capabilities.
• Design and govern Microsoft Purview and AvePoint Opus solutions.
• Define metadata, taxonomy, classification, and information architecture requirements.
• Support implementation of information governance, compliance, and records management controls.
• Ensure alignment with client information management, security, and compliance requirements.
• Lead stakeholder workshops, architecture reviews, and design governance activities.
• Develop solution architecture, design documentation, governance artefacts, and implementation guidance.
• Provide technical leadership across records management, information governance, and compliance workstreams.
• Support transition to operations and operational readiness activities.
