Job summary

CPC Engineering is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Superintendent to lead the Project Safety team for a brand new EPCM project in Northern Queensland. This on-site role reports to the Project Manager and focuses on delivering a safe, compliant and productive work environment for the project.

You will drive safety performance, manage risk and support the Zero Injury philosophy while working closely with supervisors, managers, employees and the client to achieve safety excellence on the

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety or equivalent.
• Experience within mining and construction at Superintendent level.
• Sound knowledge of WA mining and WorkSafe legislation.

Responsibilities

• Provide HSE advice and support to project leadership, supervisors and teams.
• Develop, review and implement HSE documentation (HSE Management Plans, JHAs, SWMS, risk assessments).
• Monitor compliance with client requirements, legislation and CPC systems.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, JSAs and Take 5 reviews.
• Identify hazards and unsafe practices and stop work when required.
• Assist investigations of incidents, hazards and near-misses and close corrective actions.
