Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding is seeking an Handling Supervisor at the Matraville Station in Australia. You will lead a warehouse team, monitor operations, and ensure regulatory compliance and safety standards are upheld.

Key responsibilities include rostering, performance monitoring, and driving continuous improvement in day-to-day logistics activities to meet service targets and customer expectations.

Qualifications

• Full right to work in Australia - No sponsorship
• Minimum 2 years' proven experience leading and managing teams in a fast-paced operational environment
• Willingness to work a 4-day roster - 1 day weekend / 3 days week (37.5hr equivalent)
• Forklift licence 2 years' experience preferred
• Forecast daily and weekly workloads and manage a 7-day roster to ensure operational requirements, productivity targets, and service levels consistently achieved

Responsibilities

• Actively supervise a team of warehouse staff, including rostering, task allocation and performance monitoring
• Ensure compliance with Aviation Security, Dangerous Goods Handling, Freight Stowage, and other regulatory requirements
• Manage warehouse processes, assets and equipment, ensuring safety and maintenance standards are upheld
• Maintain a safe and clean facility, promoting a safety-first culture
• Monitor day-to-day operations to provide smooth logistics and backup for peaks
• Identify opportunities for site improvement and implement smarter processes and work systems
