Job summary

LVLY in Malaga is seeking an experienced Lead Florist to head and support the floristry team. You’ll train new recruits, ensure production runs smoothly, and create beautiful LVLY posies that meet our signature style.

You’ll lead the day-to-day operations, coach your team, manage stock and quality, and contribute to major events like Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day. This is a hands-on, leadership role in a bustling floristry operation.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Floristry is required.
• At least 2 years of floristry experience.
• Experience leading and supporting a team.

Love flowers, leading people and being right in the middle of the action?

We’re looking for an experienced florist to join our Malaga team as our Lead Florist.

This is a hands-on role for someone who loves creating beautiful flowers but is also ready to take on more responsibility. You’ll lead and support our floristry team, help train new recruits, keep production flowing and make sure every posy leaving our warehouse looks beautifully LVLY.

A day in the life

No two days are quite the same! You’ll start the day making sure the floristry team is set up for success, flowers are allocated, stock is rotated and production is on track.

You’ll be hands-on creating beautiful posies alongside the team, while keeping an eye on quality, presentation and our signature LVLY floral style.

A big part of your role will be welcoming, training and supporting new recruits, helping them learn our processes, quality standards and what makes a posy feel truly LVLY. You’ll confidently lead your team throughout the day, giving clear and supportive feedback to make sure our quality standards are consistently met.

You’ll also jump in to solve production or stock challenges and work closely with the Operations Manager to keep everything running smoothly.

You’ll get involved in new products, floral range reviews, corporate orders and special projects too. And when Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day roll around, you’ll be right in the action helping lead the team through our biggest and most exciting events of the year.

What you’ll be doing

• Leading, supporting and motivating our Malaga floristry team

• Providing regular, constructive feedback and coaching to maintain high quality standards
• Coordinating daily production and flower allocation
• Managing stock rotation and supporting inventory management
• Keeping a close eye on quality and presentation throughout the day
• Working with the Operations Manager on workforce planning and rostering
• Helping maintain a clean, organised and safe floristry workspace
• Supporting floral range reviews, product sourcing, corporate orders and special projects
• Helping lead the team through our major Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day peaks

You’ll be a great fit if you…

You’re an experienced florist with a great creative eye, but just as importantly, you’re a positive, energetic people person who enjoys helping others learn and grow.

You’ll feel confident leading a team of florists, setting clear expectations and giving constructive, supportive feedback when needed to ensure every posy meets our quality and presentation standards. You’re comfortable coaching your team in the moment, celebrating what they’re doing well and helping them improve where needed.

You’re organised, comfortable working in a busy environment and happy to jump in and work alongside your team. You care about the little details and take pride in making sure every arrangement leaving the warehouse feels beautifully LVLY.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

• Certificate III in Floristry
• At least 2 years’ current floristry experience
• Confidence leading, training and supporting a team of florists
• The ability to give clear, constructive feedback and maintain high quality standards
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• A positive, hands-on approach to leadership
