City of Salisbury is seeking an experienced Leading Worker Feature Landscape to coordinate day-to-day operations of the Feature Landscape team. You will lead a team of up to nine employees to maintain Council's feature landscape sites to a high standard.

The role combines leadership with operational duties, focusing on safety, scheduling, contractor liaison and cost estimates, with the opportunity to contribute to the presentation and liveability of our city.

Qualificações

• Experience in parks and landscape maintenance.
• Knowledge of irrigation systems.
• Current Class C Driver's Licence.
• Ability to coordinate and prioritise daily work programs.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Sound literacy and numeracy skills.
• Knowledge of safe work practices and WHS requirements.
• Proven ability to influence and motivate teams.
• Promote a strong safety culture.
• Work Zone Traffic Management Certificate (desirable)
• Certificate IV in Frontline Management or similar leadership qualification (desirable)
• Chainsaw Operation competency (desirable)

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate, program and schedule daily work activities for the Feature Landscape team.
• Lead and support a team to deliver maintenance programs safely, efficiently and to agreed standards.
• Monitor work quality and ensure compliance with Council policies, procedures and safe work practices.
• Undertake general parks and landscape maintenance activities including mowing, pruning, planting, mulching, irrigation maintenance and weed control.
• Coordinate and liaise with contractors where required.
• Procure materials in line with Council purchasing requirements and delegated authority.
• Maintain accurate records relating to labour, equipment, materials and work activities.
• Assist with developing work schedules and cost estimates.
• Coach, mentor and support team members to build skills and capability.
• Promote a positive safety culture and continuous improvement across the team.
• Provide backup support to the Leading Worker Cemetery when required.
