Job summary

BCI Minerals is seeking a Lead/Superintendent Environment for the Mardie Operation in WA. You’ll lead environmental performance, manage permitting, monitoring, inspections and compliance, and embed environmental considerations into day-to-day decision making.

You’ll mentor the Senior Environment Advisor and Environmental Field Technician, work with site teams, regulators and contractors, and help drive rehabilitation, budgeting and proactive environmental improvements.

Qualifications

• A degree in Environmental Science or Environmental Management.
• Experience at Superintendent level in mining operations.
• Experience with construction and operations teams.
• Experience engaging regulators, communities and stakeholders.
• Ability to analyse data to support recommendations.
• Knowledge of WA/EPA, Commonwealth and mining legislation.
• Proficiency in MS Office and environmental management systems.
• Demonstrated leadership and people management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental management across the Mardie Operation, including approvals and obligations.
• Oversee permitting, monitoring, inspections and compliance activities.
• Support field surveys, investigations into incidents and corrective actions.
• Provide practical environmental advice and contribute to reporting.
• Maintain environmental data, records and reporting systems.
• Identify and manage environmental risks and opportunities.
• Contribute to budgeting and building relationships with regulators and stakeholders.
