Job summary

EHS Support Pty Ltd is seeking a Principal Environmental Scientist to join our Australian Approvals and Compliance team. The role focuses on 15+ years of experience in Queensland and Commonwealth resource approvals and compliance to deliver client-centric solutions across national projects.

You will lead complex approvals, mentor junior staff, and help grow a Queensland-based practice while collaborating with the AES and national teams. Office-based with occasional travel to client sites.

Qualifications

15+ years of experience in Queensland and Commonwealth environmental approvals.
Strong understanding of Commonwealth and State environmental legislation.
Proven ability to build and sustain client relationships.
Experience within resources sectors preferred.
Authorisation to work in Australia (AUS/NZ citizens or PR).

Responsibilities

Develop technical proposals and strengthen client relationships through business development.
Lead environmental impact assessments and complex approvals processes.
Mentor junior consultants to build expertise in approvals and compliance.
Manage projects within scope, budget, and quality standards.
Foster collaboration within AES and EHS Supports multidisciplinary teams.
