Job summary

Assembl Talent is seeking a Technical Lead in Australia to head a small team of 3–4 software engineers, guiding a cross-functional, Agile squad through digital transformation initiatives.

You will own the architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and partner with stakeholders to deliver microservices-based, event-driven solutions on AWS using Golang and TypeScript, with a focus on quality and security.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of 3–4-person software teams.
• Experience delivering end-to-end projects in microservices/EV architectures.
• Strong understanding of API and event-based integration.
• Solid knowledge of CI/CD, security, and scalable systems.

Exciting permanent opportunity for a Technical Lead, leading a team of 3-4 Software Engineers on a cross functional, Agile focused technology squad in a well established, market leader across Australia and New Zealand.

They are currently undergoing some large digital transformation projects, modernising their current systems to Microservices/Event driven architecture.

As the Lead Engineer, you will collaborate with other leaders and stakeholders within the business, and have experience leading and delivering projects end to end with a deep understanding of different architectures. This role would suit someone who would like to step up into management responsibilities on small team.
