Job summary

Downer is seeking an Electrical Supervisor to lead the construction delivery of major power infrastructure projects in Australia. You will coordinate field teams, manage partners, and ensure works are delivered safely and right first time.

Based on live environments and large-scale HV projects, you will bridge planning and execution, drive issues to resolution, and champion a zero-harm culture with quality-first delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience with secondary and protection systems.
• Comfortable working in live operational environments.
• Skilled in outage planning and coordination.
• Proven ability to manage contractors and field teams.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and docs.
• Strong leadership with a practical, solutions-focused approach.
• Solid knowledge of safety, quality and delivery requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction activities across HV substations and transmission projects.
• Manage construction partners and internal delivery teams to meet milestones.
• Review drawings, scopes and build packs for readiness.
• Coordinate site access, permits, materials and resources.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and constructability reviews.
• Support commissioning and resolve field technical issues.
• Collaborate with clients, engineers and stakeholders for outcomes.
