Job summary

Austcorp Executive in Australia is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead design from concept through construction across defence, federal government, and commercial sectors.

The role requires advanced skills in Revit, AutoCAD, AGi32, DIALux, SKM and ETAP, with a Chartered Engineer credential and 6+ years of consulting experience on large projects. You will mentor juniors and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams on complex buildings.

Qualifications

Degree or Honours in Electrical, Mechatronic or Building Services Engineering.
Chartered Engineer.
Strong background in low-voltage power distribution, essential and non-essential systems, backup generation, UPS, earthing, protection and coordination, and compliance-based design.
Experience in lighting design, including emergency and egress lighting, and coordination of electrical services within complex building environments.
6+ years consulting experience working on large projects, ideally within Healthcare, Commercial Offices, Data Centres & Defence Bases.
Ability to secure a National Police Check and additional Vetting e.g. AGSVA / NV1 (if required)

Responsibilities

Lead Electrical Design from concept through to detailed design and construction support
Undertake engineering calculations, design reviews and technical assessments
Coordinate with architects, consultants, and multidisciplinary project teams.
Manage project delivery.
Mentor junior staff.
