Job summary

RSGx is seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Australia. The role focuses on leading electrical or M&E outcomes across complex projects across sectors such as infrastructure, data centres, energy and resources.

As a specialist leader, you will provide technical direction, drive safe and compliant outcomes, and mentor engineers while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver practical, constructible engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience leading electrical engineering outcomes across complex multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and building/infrastructure systems.

Your Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to join our growing Engineering team.

This is an opportunity for an experienced electrical professional who can bring strong technical leadership across a diverse range of projects and environments. You may have come from a building services, infrastructure, rail, energy, resources, data centre or major projects background, what matters most is your ability to lead electrical or M&E engineering outcomes across complex projects.

Our project portfolio spans rail, roads, infrastructure, energy, resources, data centres and other major infrastructure developments. As a Lead Electrical Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work across different sectors and project environments, applying your technical expertise to deliver practical, coordinated and constructible engineering solutions. What You’ll Do

• Lead electrical engineering delivery across complex projects, providing technical direction from concept through to delivery.
• Provide technical leadership and oversight across electrical engineering solutions, ensuring outcomes are safe, compliant, practical and fit for purpose.
• Oversee the development and delivery of high-quality engineering designs and technical documentation.
• Provide technical review, assessment and advice to resolve engineering challenges and support successful project outcomes.
• Collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
• Build strong relationships with clients, contractors and key stakeholders, providing trusted technical advice throughout project delivery.
• Lead, mentor and develop engineers and technical team members, supporting capability and professional growth.
• Contribute to business development, client engagement and strategic growth opportunities across RSGx's key markets.
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering capability, processes and project delivery across the wider RSGx Engineering team.

About you

As an electrical or M&E specialist leader, your background may be in building services, or you may have developed your experience across major infrastructure sectors within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 consulting, engineering, or design environment. Experience in either setting will be highly regarded.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience leading electrical engineering outcomes across complex, multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong technical capability across electrical engineering and building or infrastructure systems, with experience delivering integrated design solutions.
• Sound knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, codes and regulatory requirements.
• Experience overseeing engineering design, calculations, technical documentation and deliverables.
• Proficiency with relevant engineering and design software.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated technical leadership, with the ability to mentor engineers and influence project outcomes.
• Chartered status with Engineers Australia, or progress towards Chartership, will be highly regarded.
