Job summary

Journey Early Learning in Ocean Grove is seeking an enthusiastic Lead Educator to nurture a safe, stimulating environment for toddlers and families. You will lead curriculum planning, mentor fellow educators, and build strong connections with children and families while delivering high-quality outcomes.

This part-time, permanent role requires an experienced educator who collaborates within a supportive team and demonstrates a passion for early years development and play-based learning.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA approved equivalent).
• Previous experience as a Lead Educator.
• Sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Ensure a high level of health & safety standards are maintained at all times
• Lead, develop and implement engaging, high-quality educational programs
• Mentor and support educators to plan and deliver meaningful learning experiences.
• Overseeing and approving centre Storypark posts
• Foster a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that encourages exploration and creativity
• Provide constructive feedback to educators to promote continuous improvement and a culture of positive change
• Collaborate with families to ensure each child’s learning journey is supported and enriched
