Job summary

Busy Bees Australia Employer Pty Ltd, trading as Busy Bees Early Learning Australia, seeks a Lead Educator / 2IC for Busy Bees at Baldivis. You will lead daily educational programs, mentor staff, and support the Centre Director with operations in a 104-place service.

You will bring a Diploma or ACECQA-equivalent, WA Working with Children clearance, and current First Aid/CPR. This role offers full-time hours, leadership growth, and a collaborative team culture.

Qualifications

• Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or ACECQA-approved equivalent or higher qualification.
• Current Western Australian Working with Children Check.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications or willingness to obtain before commencing.
• Demonstrated experience as a Lead Educator, Room Leader, Educational Leader or 2IC within an early childhood education and care service.
• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standards and National Regulations.
• Experience mentoring educators and leading the delivery of high-quality educational programs.
• Strong organisational, communication and relationship-management skills.
• Confidence supporting centre operations and stepping into a broader leadership role when required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and implementation of high-quality educational programs aligned with EYLF.
• Guide, mentor and support educators to deliver safe, inclusive and engaging learning experiences.
• Support the Centre Director with day-to-day leadership and operations of the service.
• Step into the Centre Director role and assist with operational decision-making when required.
• Support staffing, daily routines and effective communication across the service.
• Build strong and respectful relationships with children, families and the local community.
• Contribute to curriculum planning, observations, documentation, reflective practice and continuous improvement.
• Help maintain a positive team culture built on accountability, collaboration and child safety.
