Job summary

The Grove Academy Edmondson Park is seeking an experienced Room Leader to guide and mentor a team of educators, delivering nurturing and high‑quality learning experiences for children. You will lead milestone-based programs and support families while upholding child-safe practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Proven experience leading a room and mentoring educators.
• Strong knowledge of EYLF and NQS and child development.
• Exceptional leadership, communication and teamwork skills.
• Positive attitude and love for creating memorable experiences.
• Strong understanding of child protection responsibilities and mandatory reporting.
• Ability to identify and respond to risks to children’s safety.
• Foundations of Child Safety training completed (or willing to).

• Leading the delivery of innovative, fun and milestone aligned programs.
• Mentoring and supporting educators in their professional growth.
• Building strong, trusting relationships with children, families, and your team.
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
• Observing, documenting, and supporting children’s development.
• Ensuring the safety, health and wellbeing of all children is prioritised.
• Actively supervising children and monitoring risks in the environment.
• Reporting any concerns or incidents per service policies.
