Job summary

The Observer Hotel, operated by Barrelhouse Group in The Rocks, Sydney, is recruiting for Duty Manager, Waitstaff, Bartenders and Floor Staff to join a premier hospitality team. The restored heritage pub offers outdoor spaces, extensive beverage programs, and a focus on genuine hospitality from day one.

Applicants with passion for hospitality and guest service, a hands-on approach and RSA certification will be considered.

Qualifications

• A current NSW RSA certification is required for applicable positions.
• Experience in premium pubs, cocktail bars or high-volume hospitality is valued; attitude and guest-focus are important.

Responsibilities

• Lead the floor and bar teams during service.
• Manage opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain service standards and presentation across venues.
• Resolve guest issues confidently and professionally.
• Support staff training and development.
• Ensure RSA, licensing and safety requirements are maintained.
• Work closely with kitchen and bar teams during service.
• Lead from the floor and set the standard for the team.
