Job summary

AGL Energy seeks a Lead Development Engineer to steer the technical development of complex hybrid microgrid projects from early opportunity through to handover. You'll supervise a team of engineers across solar PV, battery storage, thermal generation and high-voltage infrastructure, delivering technically sound and commercially optimised solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering required or equivalent.
• Experience in power systems modelling and systems integration.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering projects and communicate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical development of hybrid microgrid projects from scoping to handover.
• Act as primary technical interface with project developers, sales and suppliers.
• Develop handover packages documenting design intent, assumptions and risks; oversee cost estimates and contract input.
