You will mentor engineers, design high-performing pipelines, and partner with data scientists, analysts and DevOps to deliver scalable, secure data products. Advanced SQL and Python are essential, with 7+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on data engineering experience.
• Advanced SQL and Python.
• ETL/ELT, dimensional modelling, data lakes and warehouses, CDC, orchestration and PII protection.
• Experience with at least one major cloud (AWS, GCP or Azure).
• A problem-solving mindset, especially when the problem is ambiguous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and build of a high-performing data engineering platform.
• Build ingestion and transformation pipelines and reusable data products patterns.
• Work with the Head of Data Engineering to deliver the data engineering strategy.
• Mentor and inspire engineers, and drive best practices and better ways of working.
• Partner with data scientists, ML engineers, analysts, DevOps and business stakeholders.
• Keep data products secure, reliable and well governed.
