Job summary

Endava is expanding its Australian Data & AI capability and seeking a Lead Data Engineer to design, build and operate reliable data platforms that turn complex data into actionable business insights. You will work across the data lifecycle with Python and SQL, using Databricks, Snowflake or Microsoft Fabric as core tools.

You’ll collaborate with clients, analysts and engineers to translate requirements into secure, scalable data solutions, guide design decisions and strengthen engineering

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience delivering production data solutions using Databricks, Snowflake or Microsoft Fabric.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Experience designing, developing and operating data pipelines, including ETL/ELT processes, orchestration and monitoring.
• Sound understanding of data architecture and modelling, including analytical and dimensional modelling.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into technical data solutions and provide design guidance.
• Design, build and maintain data pipelines ingesting data from APIs and other sources.
• Develop data models, ontologies and semantic layers for analytics and reporting.
• Implement pipeline orchestration, monitoring and RBAC with secure data platforms.
• Build visualisations and reports to empower business users.
• Document solutions and share knowledge to support maintainable delivery.
