Lead Data Analyst, Commercial Strategy & Advanced Analytics
Location: Sydney, NSW
Working Arrangement: Hybrid
Employment Type: Permanent
Are you a Senior Data Analyst or Data Analytics Manager who loves solving complex business problems but doesn't want to move away from being hands-on?
Have you reached a point in your career where you're being pushed towards people management, but what you really enjoy is getting into the data, identifying opportunities and building solutions that genuinely make a difference?
We're partnering with a global leader who's mission is to improve and save people's lives, to find an exceptional Lead Data Analyst to join its growing Data & Analytics function.
This is an opportunity to combine the strategic influence of a senior leader with the technical ownership of a hands-on analyst, working in a business where your work can positively impact people's lives.
This isn't a traditional reporting or dashboard-focused analytics role.
The Data & Analytics team operates at the heart of the business, working directly with the President, Vice Presidents and senior leadership to influence major commercial and strategic decisions.
Over the past three years, the team's data products have contributed approximately $millions in annual savings, and they're now expanding their focus into revenue growth, commercial optimisation and predictive analytics.
You'll join a highly engaged, collaborative team where people genuinely care about the work they're doing and the impact it has.
What makes this particularly interesting is the healthcare mission. From improving the efficiency of medical technology distribution to exploring opportunities alongside R&D teams, the work you do can ultimately contribute to better outcomes for patients and healthcare professionals.
You'll take ownership of a commercial analytics domain, partnering closely with business leaders to identify opportunities, challenge assumptions and develop data-driven solutions.
Rather than waiting for stakeholders to tell you what reports they need, you'll proactively engage with the business to understand their challenges and identify where analytics can deliver measurable value.
The team is building a strategic analytics roadmap across the business, with a growing emphasis on Sales and Marketing.
Contributing to initiatives that develop analytical capabilities across the business, including internal education, innovation and collaboration with other regional teams.
We're particularly interested in individuals who combine strong technical foundations with commercial acumen and exceptional communication skills.
We're particularly keen to speak with analysts who can demonstrate how they've proactively identified opportunities and delivered measurable commercial value.
When reaching out, we'd love to hear about the analytical project you're most proud of.
What was the problem? How did you identify it? What did you build? And most importantly, what changed for the business?
If you're a commercially minded analyst who wants to remain hands-on while influencing major strategic decisions and contributing to a meaningful healthcare mission, we'd love to hear from you.
