Job summary

SustainRecruit is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and optimise scalable data pipelines within a modern Fabric-based ecosystem. You will shape an analytics-ready data platform, delivering reliable data for reporting and self-service analytics.

Role requires strong SQL, data modelling, and hands-on Fabric experience, including Lakehouse, Data Factory and Warehouse. You will collaborate with stakeholders and contribute to governance and platform modernisation efforts.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Data Engineer or similar data-focused role.
• Strong SQL development and data modelling skills.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Data Factory, Warehouse).
• Experience implementing Medallion Architecture within modern data platforms.
• Proficiency in semantic modelling and enterprise reporting solutions.
• Power BI development and data visualisation experience.
• Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL/ELT patterns.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in Financial Services or Capital Markets environments is a plus.

You'll design, build and optimise scalable data solutions that enable reporting, analytics and data-driven decision making across the business. Working within a modern Microsoft ecosystem, you'll help deliver a robust data platform while contributing to architecture, best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

What we're looking for:

• Experience working as a Data Engineer or in a similar data-focused role
• Strong SQL development, database design and data modelling skills
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse, Data Factory and Warehouse components
• Experience designing and implementing Medallion Architecture within modern data platforms
• Strong understanding of semantic modelling and delivering enterprise reporting solutions
• Experience with Power BI development, dashboards and data visualisation
• Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL/ELT patterns and best practices
• Strong stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills
• Previous experience working within Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, Accounting, Wealth Management, Investment management, Trading or Capital Markets environments will be highly beneficial
