Job summary

NTT Ltd. is seeking a Lead Cyber Security Architect to join a major government organization delivering critical digital services for Australia. You will provide security architecture leadership across Azure, AWS and on-prem environments, ensuring secure by design and compliance with government frameworks.

You will mentor teams, drive risk-based decisions, and collaborate with governance boards to shape architecture roadmaps and strategy.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a Security Architect, Solution Architect or Enterprise Architect in large environments.
• Design secure solutions across Azure, AWS and on-premises platforms.
• Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture, IAM, encryption and monitoring.
• Familiar with ISM, PSPF, NIST CSF and ISO 27001.
• Experience engaging governance forums and executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end secure architectures across cloud, hybrid and on-prem environments.
• Lead security architecture reviews and ensure secure by design.
• Develop architecture artefacts, standards and governance documentation.

Lead Cyber Security Architect - 12 Month Contract | Australia

We are seeking an experienced Lead Cyber Security Architect to join a major government organization delivering critical digital services that support millions of Australians. This role will play a key part in designing secure, scalable, and resilient technology solutions across complex hybrid environments.

About the Role

As a Security Architect, you will provide technical leadership and security architecture expertise to ensure solutions, platforms, and services are secure by design. Working within a fast-paced and complex environment, you will translate business requirements into fit-for-purpose security architectures while ensuring compliance with government security frameworks and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop end-to-end secure solution architectures across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments.
• Translate business and ICT requirements into conceptual, logical, and physical architecture designs.
• Lead security architecture reviews and provide assurance throughout the solution lifecycle.
• Develop architecture artefacts, standards, and governance documentation.
• Identify security risks, architectural gaps, and recommend pragmatic, risk-based solutions.
• Provide expert advice on security controls, cloud security, identity management, and network security.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to drive secure delivery outcomes.
• Present architecture recommendations to governance forums and executive stakeholders.
• Contribute to architecture roadmaps, technology strategy, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor technical teams and support knowledge transfer across the organisation.

Required Experience

• Extensive experience as a Security Architect, Solution Architect, or Enterprise Architect within large and complex environments.
• Strong knowledge of security architecture principles and secure‑by‑design methodologies.
• Experience designing secure solutions across Azure, AWS, and on‑premises platforms.
• Strong understanding of:

• Experience with security operations, SIEM, automation and resilience programs.
