Job summary

Heidelberg Materials in Adelaide is seeking a Concrete Plant Supervisor to lead a high-output operation at the Waterloo Corner precast project. You will manage batching, loading equipment, safety culture, and cross-team coordination with the Project Manager to meet daily targets.

This role requires a strong emphasis on plant performance, maintenance oversight, and stakeholder engagement, with 12-hour shifts (day/night) on a 7/3 or 7/4 rotating roster.

Qualifications

• Natural leader who motivates teams and hits targets.
• Solid understanding of concrete production processes and plant equipment.
• Strong safety mindset with WHS protocols.
• Confident communicator with stakeholder management skills.
• Practical problem-solver with planning and troubleshooting ability.
• Able to work autonomously or in a high-performing team.
• Relevant tickets (White Card, FEL, forklift) desirable.
• Experience with batch control systems (Dorner) and wet batch plants beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Run batching and loading equipment with speed and precision.
• Coordinate with Project Manager and site teams to meet daily targets.
• Make decisions impacting plant performance and bottom line.
• Lead safety culture through coaching and conversations.
• Optimise cycle times to keep plant moving.
• Oversee maintenance and ensure policy compliance.
• Conduct site meetings and contribute to operations discussions.
• Build relationships with Tier 1 client and monitor mixer quality.
