Job summary

Fetch Recruitment is seeking a Civil Supervisor to lead site operations on subdivisions and civil construction projects across Brisbane and surrounding areas. You will manage day-to-day activities, coordinate crews and subcontractors, and ensure works are delivered safely, on time and to spec.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in subdivisions, earthworks, drainage, roads or infrastructure, strong leadership and communication skills, and a current driver’s licence.

Qualifications

• Experience as Civil Supervisor or Foreman.
• Experience in subdivisions, earthworks, drainage, roads, or infrastructure.
• Ability to coordinate crews and subcontractors.
• Strong safety, quality control and sequencing knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day site operations across civil construction and subdivision projects.
• Coordinate site crews, subcontractors, plant, equipment and materials.
• Oversee works including bulk earthworks, detailed excavation, stormwater drainage, sewer and water infrastructure, road construction, pavements, kerbing and concrete works.
• Monitor project progress against construction programs, milestones and deadlines.
• Maintain high standards of workplace health and safety, environmental compliance and site housekeeping.
• Ensure works meet project specifications, quality requirements and relevant standards.
• Liaise with Project Managers, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and other site stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve on-site issues to maintain productivity and minimise delays.
• Assist with daily reporting, progress updates, pre-starts and site documentation.

The OpportunityAn established civil construction contractor is seeking experienced Civil Supervisors and Foremen to join its team on a range of civil construction and land development projects across Brisbane and surrounding areas.

With projects spanning residential subdivisions, bulk earthworks, drainage, roads and associated civil infrastructure, this is an opportunity for hands-on construction professionals who enjoy leading site teams, coordinating subcontractors and delivering quality projects safely and efficiently.
We are open to candidates from a range of civil construction backgrounds, including subdivisions, roadworks, drainage, earthworks, utilities and general civil infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Civil Supervisor, Site Supervisor, Civil Foreman or leading hand ready to step up.
• Experience across one or more areas of civil construction, such as subdivisions, earthworks, drainage, roads, pavements, utilities or infrastructure.
• The ability to coordinate crews, subcontractors, plant and daily site activities.
• A sound understanding of site safety, quality control and construction sequencing.
• Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• A hands-on approach and the ability to work collaboratively with project teams.
• A current driver's licence and relevant construction tickets or qualifications.

Candidates with strong experience in a particular area of civil construction are encouraged to apply, even if their background does not cover every aspect of the role.
