Job summary

Monash Health Pathology seeks an energetic Chemical Pathologist and Unit Head to lead the Chemical Pathology service across multiple campuses. You will oversee strategic direction, drive high-quality testing, and collaborate with clinicians in a complex teaching hospital setting.

An adjunct academic appointment with Monash University may be available. The role requires broad technical expertise in diagnostic techniques, leadership in a large department, and a track record in teaching or

Qualifications

Requires medical qualification MBBS or equivalent with APHRA registration.
FRCPA qualification through the Royal College of Pathologists Australasia.
Appropriate health professional tertiary qualifications.
Working with Children's Certificate is required.

Responsibilities

Lead Chemical Pathology laboratory operations and ensure high-quality services.
Demonstrate leadership and management across a large department.
Collaborate with clinicians and multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care.
Oversee staff, operational and financial management within a substantial department.
Possible adjunct academic appointment with Monash University depending on experience.
