Woods & Co is partnering with a highly regarded luxury residential builder to appoint a Leading Hand to join their growing construction team in Melbourne.

Working across high-end custom residential projects, this is an opportunity for an experienced Carpenter or Leading Hand who is ready to take the next step in their career. You’ll work closely with the Foreman, taking on greater responsibility in day-to-day site operations and trade coordination.

Qualifications

• Qualified Carpenter with strong custom new build experience.
• Experience as Leading Hand or ready to steady up in a senior carpentry role.
• Exposure to high-end custom residential or architectural builds.
• Confident coordinating subcontractors and managing trades on site.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, drawings and site operations.
• Natural leader capable of ownership and responsibility.
• Ambitious to develop into a Foreman role in the near future.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day running and coordination of site operations.
• Coordinate subcontractors and manage trades on site.
• Work with Foreman to ensure construction progresses to schedule.
• Oversee workmanship and maintain high quality across all stages.
• Assist with site scheduling, material deliveries and general site operations.
• Maintain a safe, organised and well-presented worksite.
