Job summary

Lovisa is seeking aSenior BI Lead to shape how data informs strategic decisions across the business. You will lead BI initiatives, translate priorities into data strategies and work with executives to deliver insights.

The role focuses on migrating reporting from SSRS to Power BI, strengthening data governance, and driving adoption of new technologies across a global retail operation.

Qualifications

• Senior BI & analytics experience – 5+ years’ experience in BI/Analytics or similar senior role.
• Strong Power BI & data expertise – Power BI, Paginated Reports, SQL, data modelling and ETL/ELT.
• Modern data environment experience – SSRS migration to modern BI platforms, SQL Server, SSIS, Databricks, Synapse.
• Executive stakeholder management – present to C-level and senior leaders.
• Commercial & analytical mindset – curious about the why behind the numbers.
• Leadership & collaboration – set direction, influence stakeholders, build cross-team alignment.
• Curiosity & initiative – proactive, adaptable, embrace new tech.

Job description

Reporting to the Business Intelligence Manager, the Business Intelligence Lead is a senior, strategic role responsible for shaping how Lovisa uses data to drive better business decisions.

You’ll lead complex BI initiatives from concept through to delivery, setting the direction for data products, dashboards, reporting and analytics as our global business continues to grow. You’ll work closely with C-level and senior leaders to translate business priorities into clear data strategies, actionable insights and practical solutions.

Partnering with teams across Retail, Merchandising, Finance and IT, you’ll understand business challenges, identify opportunities and use data to solve complex problems and uncover trends that support strategic decision-making.

A key focus will be supporting the transformation from SSRS to Power BI, while strengthening data governance, quality and consistency across our data environment.

You’ll also play a key role in the day-to-day leadership of the BI function, driving operational excellence, continuous improvement and the adoption of new technologies and ways of working to strengthen Lovisa’s data capability.

About You

You’re a strategic thinker who combines strong technical BI expertise with commercial curiosity and the confidence to influence at a senior level. You’re passionate about data and enjoy turning complex information into clear insights that help people make better decisions.

You’ll bring:

Senior BI & analytics experience – 5+ years’ experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics or a similar senior role, with a proven track record delivering strategic BI initiatives and data transformation programs.

Strong Power BI & data expertise – hands-on experience with Power BI, Paginated Reports, SQL, data modelling and ETL/ELT, with the ability to build effective reporting and data solutions.

Modern data environment experience – experience with SSRS and migrating legacy reporting to modern BI platforms, with knowledge of SQL Server, SSIS and Azure environments such as Databricks and Synapse.

Executive stakeholder management – confident presenting to C-level and senior leadership, translating complex data into clear, commercially relevant recommendations.

Commercial & analytical mindset – naturally curious about the why behind the numbers, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify trends, opportunities and practical solutions.

Leadership & collaboration – able to set direction, influence stakeholders and build strong relationships across teams while driving alignment around data-led solutions.

Curiosity & initiative – proactive, adaptable and comfortable challenging the status quo, with a genuine interest in emerging technologies and improving how the business uses data.
