Job summary

Busways is seeking a skilled Panel Beater/Body Builder to join our Blacktown Depot. You will lead daily maintenance tasks, assess damage, fabricate, weld and repair bus bodies to OEM standards, and supervise workshop practices for safety and quality.

Ideal candidates hold MVTC qualifications, a Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology, and proven experience on larger vehicles. We offer training, progression, flexible benefits and comprehensive allowances.

Qualifications

Hold the relevant trade qualifications (MVTC) essential.
Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology.
Experience as a Body Builder/Panel Beater with larger vehicles.
Strong knowledge of bus body construction repair techniques.

Responsibilities

Assess damage to bus body panels and structures, provide accurate repair estimates.
Remove and replace damaged panels, hoods, fenders and other body components.
Weld, fabricate and repair to restore structure per OEM specs.
Blend and finish repaired areas for painting with a smooth, uniform finish.
Maintain WHS-compliant workshop practices and documentation.
