Stantec Consulting International Ltd. seeks a Senior Botanist in Perth to lead flora and vegetation surveys, prepare technical reports, and mentor junior staff within our Flora & Vegetation Team.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of field experience, WA regional knowledge (Pilbara preferred), and strong reporting skills. The role offers relocation support, flexible working arrangements, and opportunities across Australia.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years' professional experience conducting terrestrial flora and vegetation field surveys.
• Experience identifying Western Australian vascular flora, with Pilbara region knowledge preferred.
• Experience preparing flora and vegetation assessments and technical reports per EPA guidance and industry standards.
• Experience managing projects, budgets and client relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead flora and vegetation field surveys across WA, including remote environments.
• Manage flora and vegetation projects: scope, budget, schedule, client communication.
• Analyze ecological data and prepare concise technical reports.
• Liaise with clients, regulators, specialists and multidisciplinary teams.
• Prepare proposals, budgets and tender documents.
• Mentor graduate and intermediate botanists and contribute to team development.
• Provide technical support and advice to the Environmental Services Business.
