Job summary

EnerMech in Gladstone, Queensland invites expressions of interest from experienced Leading Hand Boilermakers for upcoming shutdown, turnaround and maintenance projects across mining and heavy industry in the Gladstone region.

As a frontline supervisor you will lead boilermaker crews, oversee safety, quality and delivery, read engineering drawings and coordinate resources on site. Previous supervision and expertise in structural, piping, fabrication and fixed plant maintenance are essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive boilermaker experience in mining, maintenance or heavy industry.
• Previous leading hand or supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Commitment to safety and quality in execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate boilermaker and maintenance teams during shutdowns and maintenance activities.
• Supervise structural, piping, fabrication, repair and fixed plant maintenance works.
• Ensure work complies with project specs, drawings and QA requirements.
• Promote a strong on‑site safety culture and conduct toolbox talks.
• Mentor tradespeople and apprentices and coordinate resources.
