Job summary

WorkPac is seeking a skilled Boilermaker for fixed plant maintenance across Bowen Basin mine sites in Queensland. You will perform welding, fabrication, and repairs on CHPP and fixed plant equipment, interpreting drawings and ensuring safety throughout shutdowns and projects.

The ideal candidate has a recognised Boilermaker qualification, current Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical, plus experience in heavy industry and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Australian Recognised Boilermaker Trade Qualification.
• Current Standard 11.
• Current Coal Board Medical.
• Experience in fixed plant, CHPP or heavy industrial maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication plans.
• Strong welding and fabrication skills.
• Current Driver's Licence.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Team-oriented work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair and fabrication on fixed plant equipment.
• Conduct structural repairs and modifications to plant infrastructure.
• Carry out planned, preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
• Maintain chutes, bins, conveyors and related equipment.
• Interpret engineering drawings and fabrication plans.
• Complete shutdown and project maintenance works.
• Ensure all work is safe and compliant with industry standards.
• Maintain maintenance records and inspection documentation.
