Heidelberg Materials Australia is seeking a Leading Hand - Maintenance in Wolffdene, QLD. The role is hands-on, requiring a qualified Fitter or Boilermaker with strong fixed plant maintenance and safety focus. You will lead a small team, manage contractors, and ensure risk assessments are conducted.

Daily duties include safety-driven maintenance, confined-space work, dogging, rigging and EWP tasks, plus reporting using tablets. Company offers career development and site benefits.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as Fitter or Boilermaker.
• Experience in fixed plant maintenance.
• Knowledge of WHS compliance and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team and coordinate contractors (2-3 direct reports).
• Perform maintenance tasks on fixed plant equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and conduct risk assessments.
• Operate within confined spaces and perform dogging, rigging and EWP tasks.
• Use tablets and digital tools for reporting and documentation.
