Job summary

Hunter Buildings Pty Ltd in Black Hill, NSW, seeks a hands-on Blast & Painting Supervisor to lead the paint shop operations in a modern facility featuring a state-of-the-art blast chamber, air filtration system and overhead cranes.

You will supervise the team on the floor, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to specifications, taking ownership of paint shop performance with support from detailing, fabrication and site installation teams.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising in a paint shop or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of spray painting and surface preparation.
• Ability to lead, motivate and manage a team.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily paint shop operation and workflow.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and to required standards.
• Monitor staff productivity and maintain efficient output.
• Oversee quality control including surface preparation and coating inspections.
• Minimise material waste and manage consumables effectively.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment.
• Support team leadership, training and development.
• Ensure Workplace Health & Safety compliance.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Process purchase orders and maintain documentation.
• Ensure traceability of all fabricated and customer-supplied products.
• Complete timesheets and required reporting.
