Job summary

EDUCATING KIDS EARLY LEARNING in Townsville is seeking a Lead Educator for a babies 0–2 room. You will lead daily operations, foster secure relationships with each infant, and provide responsive, individualized care within a supportive team.

You will plan developmentally appropriate experiences, partner with families, and ensure strong supervision, hygiene, safety and adherence to national frameworks. A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or approved equivalent required.
• Experience as Lead Educator for babies aged 0–2 years.
• Solid understanding of babies' developmental and emotional needs.
• Current Queensland Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
• Current approved first aid, CPR, asthma and anaphylaxis qualifications
• Recent child protection and child safety training
• Strong leadership, communication and relationship-building skills
• Commitment to providing safe, nurturing and responsive care

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the baby room
• Create a calm, nurturing and engaging learning environment
• Develop meaningful relationships with babies and their families
• Plan and document age-appropriate learning experiences
• Support each baby's individual routines, interests and development
• Guide and collaborate with other educators in the room
• Maintain high standards of supervision, hygiene, safety and child protection
• Work in accordance with the National Quality Framework and approved learning frameworks
