Grand Prix Narangba seeks an experienced Leading Hand Technician to join our team in Narangba, QLD. This full-time, hands-on leadership role combines technical diagnostics and service work with mentoring junior technicians to uphold our high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.

You will lead from the front, supervise daily tasks, ensure safe, efficient operations, and maintain thorough records while delivering exceptional service in a busy automotive workshop.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on automotive technician experience with diagnostics, maintenance and repairs.
• Valid drivere2 licence and roadworthy inspection certification.
• Supervisory or leading hand experience.
• Strong knowledge across automotive systems and vehicle types.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of automotive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair work on various vehicle types.
• Lead, supervise, and mentor junior technicians.
• Allocate work to team members based on skill levels and ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
• Conduct quality inspections to meet high standards and safety requirements.
• Communicate with customers regarding issues, requirements, and progress updates.
• Maintain accurate work documentation including job cards and records.
• Assist in identifying and resolving complex technical problems.
• Contribute to workshop efficiency by suggesting process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and keep up-to-date with industry developments.
