Job summary

Bluewater Village ELC in Cairns region is seeking Lead and Assistant Educators to join our family-owned early learning centre. We offer outdoor, play-based learning with a supportive team and a 9-day fortnight option. 37.5 hours per week; permanent part-time roles available across 6:00 am–6:00 pm.

Applicants must hold a Blue Card (Working with Children Check), a Diploma or Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, and have First Aid/CPR. Working rights in Australia are required.

Qualifications

• Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
• Diploma or Certificate III in ECEC or pursuing it
• Experience delivering high-quality education and care in early childhood setting
• Knowledge of Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations
• Knowledge of Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standard
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate, or willingness to obtain one
• Ability to contribute to a supportive team environment

Responsibilities

• Support supervision, care, safety and education of children throughout the day
• Contribute to smooth day-to-day operation of the service
• Plan, implement and evaluate engaging developmentally appropriate learning experiences
• Create welcoming, secure, stimulating and interactive learning environments
• Build positive relationships with children, families and fellow educators
• Follow child protection, health, safety and service policies and procedures
• Bring personality, ideas and passion for early childhood education to the team
