Job summary

The Shire of Augusta Margaret River is seeking a proactive Leading Hand – Assets Maintenance to lead the Assets Maintenance team and help maintain the infrastructure and facilities our community relies on. The role combines hands-on maintenance with leadership, across roads, drainage and public facilities in Margaret River, WA.

With autonomy and exposure to asset management, planning and budgeting, you will develop a skilled team and deliver meaningful outcomes for the community.

Qualifications

• Experience with a variety of asset maintenance tasks.
• Ability to estimate materials, equipment and costs; manage job costs and budgets.
• Supervisory experience with training and basic HR skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the team to work collaboratively and achieve goals.
• Hands-on maintenance across roads, drainage and civil works.
• Carpentry, painting, sign installation, high-pressure cleaning and herbicide application tasks.
• Monitor and manage resources and budgets including operational and capital expenditure.
