Job summary

Shire of Augusta Margaret River is seeking a Building Officer/Administrator to support building services and coordinate applications in Margaret River, WA. Qualifications

• Experience in processing building applications and knowledge of NCC and Building Act 2011.
• Ability to interpret legislation and provide practical advice.
• Strong communication, analytical, time management and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and process building applications in line with legislation and Council requirements.
• Maintain accurate building records and databases.
• Provide technical advice on building approvals, compliance and related matters.
• Support building compliance, appeals and associated documentation.
• Liaise with stakeholders to resolve issues and deliver customer service.
