Job summary

Randstad Digital Australia seeks an experienced Integration Architect to own large-scale enterprise integration across a complex hybrid environment from Brisbane. This contract role runs through May 2027 and focuses on defining target-state architectures, reusable patterns, and governance frameworks.

You'll work with SAP Integration Suite, SAP BTP, and Azure Integration Services, delivering secure, observable patterns and an implementation roadmap with delivery teams across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Extensive enterprise integration experience across SAP, Azure, and SaaS in hybrid environments.
• Hands-on SAP Integration Suite and SAP BTP; strong Azure Integration Services knowledge.
• Experience with API lifecycle, versioning, discoverability, streaming, CDC, and batch patterns.
• Strong cloud-native, Git-based delivery, CI/CD, and IaC expertise.
• Governance and stakeholder facilitation with TOGAF/Azure/SAP desirable.

Are you an experienced Integration Architect looking to take ownership of large-scale enterprise integration across a complex hybrid environment? In this critical contract role running initially to May 2027, you will define and govern the target-state integration and modern development landscape. Working alongside multi-disciplinary architecture and delivery teams, you will establish reusable patterns, practical standards, and key repositories that drive resilience, security, and long-term digital capability.

What You Will Do:

• Define current, target, and transition states for integration and development architectures, supported by a prioritised implementation roadmap.
• Build, populate, and govern core architectural artefacts, including the integration catalogue, API registry, interface matrix, and platform inventory.
• Establish comprehensive reference architectures, design guardrails, and standards across SAP Integration Suite, SAP BTP, and Microsoft Azure Integration Services.
• Deliver a governed pattern catalogue covering synchronous APIs, asynchronous messaging, event-driven architectures, batch processing, and managed file transfers.
• Lead architecture reviews, create architecture decision records, and guide delivery teams to embed secure-by-design, resilient, and observable practices.

What You Need to Apply for This Role:

• Substantial architecture experience across enterprise integration, APIs, middleware, messaging, event-driven platforms, and hybrid integration spanning SAP, Microsoft Azure, and SaaS environments.
• Deep technical expertise in SAP Integration Suite and SAP BTP concepts, combined with hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Azure Integration Services (API Management, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid, and Functions).
• Proven capability defining API lifecycle, versioning, discoverability, streaming, CDC, and batch patterns, including robust security, secret management, resilience, and observability.
• Strong knowledge of modern software architecture, cloud-native development, Git-based delivery, CI/CD, Azure DevOps, automated testing, and infrastructure as code.
• Demonstrated excellence in architectural decision-making, stakeholder facilitation, and governance, underpinned by relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience (TOGAF, Azure, or SAP certifications highly desirable).
